The Summer Program Director is responsible for assisting the Warner Camp leadership staff in recruiting and interviewing prospective summer staff, implementing training sessions prior to the start of the summer programs. The Summer Program Director should be a committed christian, be able to actively lead and direct a staff of college age students. Possess administrative and development skills, specifically designing, planning, and overseeing programs and people based on the Mission and Core Values of Warner Camp. The ability to relate well with all people to build and enhance communication and working unity among staff and volunteers who serve at Warner Camp, as well as guests, campers, and parents. A sincere desire to develop the ministry of Warner Camp, seeking to serve as an instrument of God’s workmanship to extend His kingdom through this place.
Counselors are responsible for the direction and guidance of 10-12 campers each week. Counselors will use every opportunity to interact with campers on spiritual topics through Bible study, fellowship time, one-on-one discussions, and daily living situations.
**Staff filling the position of Counselor need to be 18 or older by June 19, 2022.
Program Staff may be responsible for overseeing a variety of activities including but not limited to:
*Waterfront activities, including the lakefront, and boating.
*Lifeguard training is available through Warner Camp, but previous certification is welcome.
*Adventure activities for the summer camp program and guest groups as needed. This includes high-adventure activities such as Rockwall climbing, High Ropes and zip-lining. Training in adventure programming will be provided by Warner Camp.
*Media and production needs for each week of camp include managing sound systems, taking and posting photos for each week of camp and producing weekly recap videos.
*Help in the Café, housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
*Worship team – vocal and instrument
*Setup and clean up for summer camp activities.
** Staff filling the position of Program Staff must be 17 by June 1, 2022.
Summer Program Director – $350 per week plus room & board
First year staff – $250 per week plus room & board
Return staff – $275 per week plus room & board
As a Trainee, your main focus is to assist the camp store manager to make sure that the store is staffed, stocked and orderly for the summer camp program and guest groups. The Summer Camp Trainee may be asked to help program staff, maintenance, or in the cafe is there is a need.
**On-Site housing is not available for this position.
Experience a week of volunteering with a purpose! Staff In Training support the summer and full-time staff by filling important roles throughout the summer camp season. During your week, you will be challenged in new ways as you develop life-changing relationships and learn to humbly serve. To be considered, students must be at least 14 years of age and serve in an age appropriate week of camp.
