EMPLOYMENT

Warner Camp is seeking dedicated students aged 14-17 to embark on a transformative 2-week journey of service, discipleship, and leadership training. As an ASCEND– Staff in Training : Advancing in Service, Character, Excellence, & Discipleship participant, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while growing in your faith.

WHAT TO EXPECT...​

During your time with us, you'll serve as a volunteer in various areas, including adventure activities, aquatic programs, youth programming, and fulfilling operational needs. This comprehensive experience will empower you to learn, serve, and lead within the Warner Camp community.

Each participant will receive lodging and meals for the entire duration of their stay. This opportunity serves as a stepping stone towards potentially becoming future summer staff, equipping young individuals with the faith and skills to make a lasting difference in the world for Christ. Join fellow believers as you work side by side, leaving an enduring impact on the lives of campers and families.​  There is no cost to participate! ​

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE...

ASCEND– Staff in Training; Advancing in Service, Character, Excellence, & Discipleship participants register for one of  2 – 2-week sessions. Students can choose to serve both sessions if staff are needed.  In exchange for serving 2 sessions, participants can attend Sr High Camp at the reduced cost of half price. 

 

Participants arrive on Sunday, serve the week,  and leave on Friday--returning that Sunday for the next week. Each week will have a different focus:

• Week 1: Skills,Training, and Service

• Week 2: Service and Leadership Development

 

CHOOSE A  2 WEEK SESSION

• Session 1: June 21 - July 3

• Session 2: July 12 - 31 (breaking from 18-25 for Camp Meeting)

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS... 

Participants will serve in different areas of the ministry: 

​​

• Special Ops (Kitchen, Maintenance, Accommodations,)

  • Kitchen: Prepare dining room for meals, serve food and drinks, clean dining room and kitchen, assist with food preparation, wash dishes and pots/pans

  • Maintenance & Grounds: Maintain lawns and flower beds, split and bundle firewood, clean firepits, assist with work projects

  • Accommodations: Clean and maintain facilities, sweeping, mopping, laundry, trash removal.
     

• PT-Program Team Helpers (Store, Beach, Crafts, Games, Events)

        Assist Program Team members with…

• Facilitating activities, setting and cleaning up games and events, maintain activity equipment.

• Help with various crafts and creative activities, leathershop, laces.

• Store: Serve guests, manage inventory, run register, scoop ice cream, clean and maintain building.

• Beachfront: help with clean beach area, assisting with canoes and kayaks, and operation on the boathouse. 

 

• SIT (SIT Cabin Leaders): Assist Cabin Staff Leaders with the supervision of campers, help lead games.​​

• Our goal is for participants to leave our ASCEND Service Team opportunity transformed and strengthened in their faith, joyfully serving the Savior. Through their service, they'll not only support the transformation of others into the image of Christ but also experience the power of Christ working within them.​
