Our Faith
What we Believe
...about God
We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in love, justice, holiness, and mercy. He is infinite and personal, desiring a relationship with all humanity.
(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 4:8)
...about Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles. Jesus willingly gave His life as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world through His death on the cross. He rose bodily from the dead,
ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
(John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11)
...about the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, actively at work in the world. The Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all believers for godly living and service.
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, guiding and equipping them for a life of faith.
(John 16:7-13; Titus 3:5; Galatians 5:22-23; Acts 1:8)
...about the Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
It is the ultimate standard for faith and practice, revealing God’s truth to humanity. Scripture is living
and active, sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12)
...about Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Humanity, created in God’s image, is separated from God by sin and incapable of saving itself.
Through Christ’s death and resurrection, God provides forgiveness of sins, reconciliation, and eternal life to all
who repent and believe in Him. Salvation is evidenced by a transformed life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-24; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:16)
...about the Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all believers who are united by faith in Him. The Church
is called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, and serve others in love. As a local expression of the Church,
Warner Camp seeks to provide a Christ-centered community for spiritual growth, discipleship, and outreach.
(Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 28:19-20)
...about Christian Living
We believe that Christians are called to live lives that reflect Christ’s character, marked by love, humility, integrity, and service. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are to pursue holiness, cultivate spiritual fruit, and share the good news of Jesus with the world. Christians are also called to care for the poor, advocate for justice, and steward God’s creation responsibly. (Galatians 5:22-23; Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:14-16; Colossians 3:17)
...about Baptism / the Lord’s Supper
We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Jesus to His followers.
Baptism is a public declaration of faith, symbolizing the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice, a celebration of His presence, and an anticipation of His return.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
...about Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the promise of eternal life. Those who trust in Christ will experience
everlasting joy and fellowship with God in heaven, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.
Heaven and hell are real places, and every person’s eternal destiny is determined by their response to Jesus Christ.
(John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:31-46)
...about Marriage, Sexual Behavior, and Gender
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God as a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church. Sexual intimacy is designed to be expressed exclusively within the context of marriage. We affirm that God created humanity in His image, male and female, and that gender is a God-given characteristic. Any deviation from God’s design for marriage, sexual behavior, or gender identity is contrary to His will as revealed in Scripture.
(Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-32; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
